Our Favorite Weekend Ships

Navigator of the Seas and Independence of the Seas

Weekend cruises are the most ideal for weddings, being that they are more affordable and easier to accommodate into everyone's schedules!

Destinations

The Independence of the Seas sails out of Ft. Lauderdale visits the beautiful island of Cozumel. Happy Holidays Travel hosts an optional event at an all-inclusive resort where guests may enjoy unlimited food, beverage, and non-motorized water sports for $65 per person.

This gives the wedding party an opportunity to celebrate off the ship as well!

The Navigator of the Seas sails out of Miami and visits 2 different locations in the Bahamas: Nassau and CocoCay. Most of us are familiar with the colorful city of Nassau and it's popular resorts, bars, and beaches. CocoCay is Royal Caribbean's totally revamped private island with many amazing features such as a wet bar, beaches, unlimited food, and a waterpark! Not to mention all the other cool excursions available on the island.

Frequently   Asked Questions

WHY HAVE A WEDDING AT SEA?

  • Contrary to popular belief, wedding cruises tend to be more economical and substantially less stressful in comparison to hosting a wedding on land. When it comes to organizing a wedding party on a ship, most details are covered by only the travel agency and the cruise line (i.e. food, venues, drinks, decorations) meaning any inquiries or requests only need to be directed to us vs. different companies in charge of each aspect of the event done on land.

  • Most venues on land have 4 hour time limits.

  • There is no limit on the amount of guests to invite. In this case, the more the merrier!

WHAT CRUISE LINE DO WE RECOMMEND FOR WEDDINGS?

Royal Caribbean is our go-to! Their state-of-the-art ships are like no other and the service is unmatched. We can even schedule ship visits for up to 10 people so the bride, groom, and loved ones can see for themselves! However, this decision is ultimately up to the client.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

  • Complimentary 1 hour open bar (welcome or farewell party depending on the duration of the cruise)

  • Basic Cruise Line Wedding Package Perks such as a bottle of champagne, wedding cake, stateroom decor, keepsake wedding certificate, etc.

  • Private Wedding Venue

  • Wedding Website: Save the Date

  • And more!

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOOKING THROUGH HHT VS. DIRECTLY WITH THE CRUISE LINE?

Being that we host many special groups all year round, we have a great deal of experience with cruise events. We have plenty of resources & tips to provide our clients with to guarantee them the wedding of their dreams. As your travel agency, we play a role as an intermediary between the cruise line and the client to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible. Also, keep in mind that as your event planners we have more freedom to personalize your wedding to your taste vs. sticking strictly to only what the cruise line packages offer.
